Privacy Policy (v1)
How we collect, use and look after your information.
What we collect
Identity and contact details, your financial position (income, expenses, assets and liabilities), employment details, and the documents that support a loan application — such as identification, payslips and bank statements. We collect most of this directly from you, and some of it — with your consent — from third parties such as your employer, accountant or a credit reporting body.
Why we collect it
To understand your position, assess which loans and lenders on our panel may suit your situation, prepare and submit applications, manage your lending past settlement, and meet our legal obligations — including responsible lending and identity-verification requirements.
Credit reporting bodies
With your consent, we may exchange information with credit reporting bodies to obtain your credit report as part of preparing an application. You can ask us at any time which credit reporting bodies we use and how to contact them.
Who we share it with
Lenders on our panel (to assess and process your application); our aggregator and licensee, Mortgage Specialists Pty Ltd (Australian Credit Licence 387025); and service providers who help us run the business, such as loan-processing and IT providers. If you were referred to us — for example by Palise Property — we only share information with the referrer with your consent. We never sell your information.
How we store it
Your information is held in secure, access-controlled systems and retained only for as long as the law requires or a legitimate business purpose exists.
Cookies and website tracking
This website uses cookies and similar technologies — including the Meta (Facebook) pixel — to understand how the site is used and to measure and improve our advertising. These tools may collect information such as the pages you visit, your device and browser type, and your approximate location, and may allow Meta to show you our ads on its platforms. They do not collect the financial information you provide to us as a client. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and manage ad personalisation in your Meta account settings.
Access and correction
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, at any time — email admin@magnusfinance.com.au.
Privacy complaints
If you believe we've mishandled your information, contact admin@magnusfinance.com.au. See the Complaints section below for how we handle complaints and where you can escalate.
Credit Guide
We will provide you with our Credit Guide before we provide credit assistance. It explains who authorises us, the services we provide, how we are paid, our lender panel and what to do if you have a complaint. To request a copy, email admin@magnusfinance.com.au.
Complaints & IDR
If something's gone wrong, tell us — we'd rather fix it than lose you.

2. We acknowledge within 24 hours and aim to resolve your complaint within 30 days, keeping you informed along the way.
